Hello, Friend!
You know, every week we sit down to write this newsletter, and generally there's some accomplishment, some setback, some lesson to share.
This week, we've got nothing.
Well, not nothing, because this, too, provides an opportunity for insight. We get so used to being busy, often having more to handle than we have time or energy for -- starting seeds, planting them out, battling pests and weeds, fertilizing, building support structures, turning over beds, and on and on and on.
When we get to this point in the season, things start to just cruise for a little while. It feels weird at first.
We're at a bit of a pause with harvesting, the pests are relatively under control (or at least we're under the illusion that they are), the mid-summer growth spurt is on, and we're not planting for fall just yet. So...wow, hey, we can relax for a minute!
Thank goodness Nature provides this mid-season break. In life outside the garden, those natural rhythms aren't always recognized.
Are you also ready to cruise for a bit? Where in life could you take a mid-season break?
