Struggle: Keep Going? Or Change Direction?

Hello, Friend!
Sugar snap peas can be such a fun plant to grow. The plants vine up a trellis and produce fat pods that are the perfect garden snack.
But alas, we have not been successful with them.
When they struggled last year, we knew we had neglected them a bit -- it was our first season in this new place, and we were overwhelmed with all of the things to do. We eventually built them trellises and mostly got them off the ground. Some did okay-ish.
This year, we put them in a sunnier spot and planned a better trellising structure. Except the trellis ending up being fairly far from the sprouts, leaving them lying on the ground again while young. And half of the seeds didn't even sprout, despite plenty of rain, watering, and wishing.
We've gotten one pea so far. It was delicious!

We could continue to work with these sad little plants, hoping with enough care they'll finally grow into their full pea potential. Or we could clear them out and make room for something new. Maybe if we were to re-do the trellis, or add compost, or fertilize a certain way, or fight the slugs even more than we already do -- maybe they'd have a chance. Or maybe this just isn't a great place to grow peas, no matter how hard we try.
There's no right decision here, just choices.
We're choosing to move on. We'll clear out the peas and plant okra in that row. Will we try peas again next year? Hard to say -- we may learn something this year that gives us renewed hope for planting them next spring, or we may find we enjoy growing other crops more. Time will tell.
What have you been struggling with in the garden of your own life? What choice do you want to make?
