Everyday Miracles
Published about 2 months ago • 1 min read
Hello, Friend!
When we get to this point in the season, with everything full and lush, and so many things to harvest, it's great. This is what we've worked for. There's a flow of abundance -- into the kitchen, to our neighbors and friends, and to the local food pantry. Every meal includes food that we grew ourselves, nourishing our bodies and our spirits.
It's easy to take this all for granted.
If we rewind just a few months, what are now typical harvests:
Saturday's harvest -- a trunk-full!
would have fit in a thimble. Tiny seeds became all of this!
How often do we stop and really take in how incredible Nature is? One itty-bitty seed transforming into a beet, or a head of cabbage is just miraculous. That seed knew exactly what form to take, when to do it, and how to get the resources it needed to grow.
Of course, we are part of Nature too. Each of us was once a seed of sorts, and now here we are -- living, breathing, amazingly complex creatures.
And we humans take into our bodies those plants transformed from seeds, which allows us to continually grow and transform ourselves.
Isn't this wild?!
Sure, science tells us how this all happens, but the fact that it does happen is beyond logical explanation. Nature, The Universe, God -- whatever you want to call it -- is always working its miracles, whether or not we recognize it.
When we do take a moment to marvel at it all, we step into a (literally) wonder-full world.
